Week 1 – Ballet Focus

A full week dedicated to classical ballet training emphasizing technique, strength, artistry, and performance quality.
Week 2 – Contemporary Focus
Date: August 10th – 14th
Time: 4:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Explore contemporary movement, musicality, floor work, and expressive performance techniques.
Week 3 – Ballet Focus
Date: August 17th – 21st
Time: 4:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Continue building strong ballet fundamentals while refining turns, jumps, pointe work, and variations.

Samantha Shelton
Ballet Intensive • Ages 7–18+ Date: August 3rd – 7th
Time: 4:30 AM – 8:30 PM
An internationally recognized ballet educator, choreographer, and performer. Samantha is a member of the ABT Board of Examiners and travels nationwide examining for the American Ballet Theatre.
Richard Villaverde
Contemporary Intensive • Ages 7–18+ Date: August 10th – 14th
Time: 4:30 AM – 8:30 PM
A dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Richard has performed leading roles including Maple Leaf Rag and the “Yellow Couple” in Diversion of Angels.
Anastasia Babayeva
Ballet Intensive • Ages 9*–18+ Date: August 17th – 21st
Time: 4:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Anastasia has danced principal roles with the Bolshoi Theatre, Chicago Ballet, Richmond Ballet, and IBC, and is currently on faculty at The Rock School for Dance Education.
VSB Faculty
Valentina Barsukova
Trained in the Vaganova method in Ukraine, Valentina performed professionally with the Kharkov Ballet Theatre before bringing her expertise to the U.S. Known as “Miss V,” she has guided students to elite programs and professional companies worldwide.
Natalya Makina
Former Principal Dancer with Russia’s Perm Ballet Company, Natalya performed leading roles in classical masterpieces including Giselle and Swan Lake. She is a respected international ballet educator.
Becca Grden
Trained in ballet, modern, tap, and hip hop, Becca began choreographing at 17. Her award-winning work encourages dancers to discover their authentic voice.
Christie Sciturro Garcia
A former Miami City Ballet dancer of 19 years, Christie performed works by Balanchine and other master choreographers and is dedicated to refined technique and expressive artistry.
